Amanda Green is an actress/ singer/songwriter who recently wrote “The Last Time I Looked” – with lyrics by Amanda Green and music by Larry Grossman – for and about her fabulous mom, singer/actress Phyllis Newman who passed away September 15, 2019. Amanda grew up in the business of show learning much about musical theater from her mother and songwriter-playwright father, Adolph Green.
Amanda’s career flourishes as a singer (you see her regularly at Birdland) and lyricist (Broadway: Hands On a Hard Body) garnering a Tony nomination for Best Original Score, and contributing her lyrics to On the Twentieth Century, Bring It On, High Fidelity and much more.
