Real Women Have Curves: The Musical

Motell Foster Joins Emmy Rossum and Zoë Winters in “Walden”

Motell Foster will complete the cast of Amy Berryman’s play WALDEN, joining the previously announced Emmy Rossum and Zoë Winters. Directed by Tony Award nominee Whitney White, the show begins previews on October 16th, opening on November 7th at the Tony Kiser Theater (305 West 43rd street).

Arliss Howard & Gracie McGraw  Join Marisa Tomei in “Babe”

Casting has been completed for Jessica Goldberg’s Babe, with Arliss Howard and Gracie McGraw joining, as previously announced, Marisa Tomei.  Directed by Scott Elliott and featuring original music by BETTY, Babe begins preview performances October 29, with an opening night of November 20 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theater, 480 West 42nd Street).

Real Women Have Curves: The Musical

Real Women Have Curves: The Musical will debut on Broadway in 2025 following a critically acclaimed world premiere in 2023 at American Repertory Theater (A.R.T) at Harvard University.

The new musical, based on the play by Josefina López and HBO’s Real Women Have Curves, will feature music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning artist Joy Huerta of the Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy and composer/lyricist Benjamin Velez, book by Lisa Loomer, additional material by Nell Benjamin, music supervision by Nadia DiGiallonardo, and direction & choreography by Tony and Olivier Award winner Sergio Trujillo.

Dates, cast and additional creative team will be announced at a later date.

Fans can get an exclusive first look at the show on Sunday, September 15 with a special live performance of the musical’s title track “Real Women Have Curves” by Florencia Cuenca Jennifer Sanchez, Elisa Galindez, and Aline Mayagoitia.
