Tony Award nominee Jarrod Spector will step into the role of ‘King George III’ in the Tony Award-winning musical, HAMILTON, beginning tonight, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th St). Spector made his Broadway debut at nine-years-old as Gavroche in the original production of Les Miserables and went on to play a record-breaking 1500 performances as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys on Broadway. He was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance as Barry Mann in Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, and recently starred in the MUNY’s acclaimed production of CHESS. Out of the Box Theatrics (OOTB) (Liz Flemming, Founding Artistic Director) is pleased to announce that it has been selected to operate 154, the venue formerly known as The New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street), with programming starting immediately and continuing through the end of 2024.
Out of the Box Theatrics was founded in 2016 by Liz Flemming, a legally blind artist, to create space for artists who have been historically underrepresented and undervalued. Pulse Ensemble Theatre will present Chasing Happy, a new comedy by Michel Wallerstein. The limited engagement, directed by Alexa Kelly, will play a five-week limited engagement, October 11 through November 11, at Theatre Row. Water for Elephants is headed to Broadway. The new musical based on the bestselling novel by Sara Gruen will begin performances on Feb. 24, 2024, ahead of an official opening on March 21 at the Imperial Theatre. Tony Award nominee Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo) will direct the musical, which features a book by three-time Tony nominee Rick Elice and a score by PigPen Theatre Co. The show will begin previews on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Imperial Theatre, with an opening night set for Thursday, March 21.

Rachel McAdams to make Broadway debut in Amy Herzog’s ‘Mary Jane’ – Manhattan Theatre Club has announced the Broadway premiere of Mary Jane. Written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Amy Herzog and directed by Anne Kauffman, the play will star Academy Award nominee Rachel McAdams. The new play will begin previews at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on April 2, 2024.
