NJ Rep/100 Years the Musical – Here Lies Love/Arielle Jacobs – Death Drop/Drag from London – TBTB/God of Carnage

Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB), the only professional Off-Broadway theater company dedicated to advancing artists and developing audiences of people with disabilities, presents the Off-Broadway debut of Yasmina Reza’s acclaimed Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage, with a translation by Christopher Hampton. It began preveiws April 18 and opens on April 27 and will run through May 20 at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street). Tickets are $67.50 and can be purchased by visiting tbtb.org. Here Lies Love, the groundbreaking musical from the minds of Grammy®, Oscar®, and Tony Award® winner David Byrne (concept, music and lyrics) and Grammy Award® winner Fatboy Slim (music), announced that Arielle Jacobs (In The Heights, Aladdin, Between The Lines) will lead the show’s Broadway cast in the role of former Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos. Developed & directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, with choreography by Olivier Award nominee Annie-B Parson and additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, Here Lies Love will transform the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway at 53rd Street) into a dance club where the audience is immersed in the story. The musical begins performances Saturday, June 17 ahead of an official opening night on Thursday, July 20.

Death Drop, the fabulous killer comedy starring some of the drag world’s biggest stars, is ready for the ultimate runway … New York City straight from London’s west end. Death Drop, written by drag artist and comedian Holly Stars, based on an original idea by Christopher D. Clegg and directed by Jesse Jones, will play at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) starting June 30, 2023, with an opening night on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
