The Actor’s Fund hosted a star-studded screening of the excellent film version of Jason Robert Brown’s popular musical “The Last Five Years” at the Minetta Lane Theatre – home of the show’s original Off-Broadway run – on Monday, February 9.

The film, starring Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick and Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan, is a musical deconstruction of a passionate, messy love affair—taking place over a five-year period—between Jamie, a young, talented up-and-coming Jewish novelist, and Cathy, a non-Jewish struggling actress. It can currently be seen at New York City’s Village East Cinema is available through Video On Demand.

On hand for the opening were Brown, Jordan and wife Ashley Spencer (who also appears in the film), director Richard LaGravenese, producers Kurt Deutsch and Jen Namoff (Executive Producer), as well as a host of Broadway stars including Kelli O’Hara, Alex Sharp, Rob McClure (who stars in Brown’s current Broadway hit “Honeymoon in Vegas”), Susan Blackwell, and many others.
