The press met with the talent who will take the stage at Feinstein’s/54 Below through October and into November. First up is The Jonathan Larson Project.
Under the creative guidance of Jennifer Ashley Tepper, who conceived and will direct an evening of unheard work by the groundbreaking composer/lyricist of Rent and tick tick BOOM, Jonathan Larson (who left us much too early at the age of 35), who posthumously was awarded both Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize, The Jonathan Larson Project features an amazing nucleus cast of performers including Nick Blaemire (tick tick BOOM, Godspell), Lauren Marcus (Be More Chill, Company), Andy Mientus (‘Smash’, Spring Awakening), Krysta Rodriguez (Spring Awakening, The Addams Family) and George Salazar (Be More Chill, The Lightning Thief) who will offer up many of the treasures never heard at Feinstein’s/54 Below October 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14 with two shows nightly – 7 pm & 9:30 pm.
Each performance will feature a different special guest sharing a unique unheard Jonathan Larson song.
Charlie Rosen (Be More Chill, Prince of Broadway, Honeymoon in Vegas) is responsible for music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements while Natalie Tenenbaum will musically direct. The five piece band includes Rosen, Cody Owen Stine, Megan Talay and Marques Walls (Danielle Gimbal is copyist).
