Cabaret review by Linda Amiel Burns…
The closing night of the Mabel Mercer foundation’s cabaret convention ‘everything old is new again” was hosted by songstress, KT Sullivan, it’s artistic director

The 35th year of the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s Cabaret Convention was celebrated at Rose Hall for 3 glittering nights of song from October 22-24.The last night was entitled: “Everything Old is New Again: Classic Songs, Old & New” hosted by KT Sullivan, a popular singer, who also serves as the Foundation’s Artistic Director.

The evening consisted of 25 performers, accompanied by a veritable who’s who of music directors and musicians. Everyone brought their own special talents to the songs. Many were cabaret veterans along with up and coming young talent. This terrific evening of a variety of singers and songs, capped a remarkable three day celebration of the art of cabaret. The first night, composer Charles Strouse was in attendance and honored, the second night, the songs of legendary singer/pianist Bobby Short were sung, and the closing night, the many artists and the variety of old and new songs they performed is listed below.
