Yes, lucky theatergoers, Terrence McNally’s hilarious comedy “It’s Only a Play,” one of the fall’s biggest hits, is marching on through winter. The work, about a nerve-wracking opening night of a new Broadway play, will continue making audiences laugh through March 29.
Soon, there will be a change in theater locales; the show plays its final performance at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on January 18 before transferring to the Bernard Jacobs Theatre on January 23. More excitingly, there’s already been a change in three of the seven brilliant ensemble members.
On Tuesday, January 13, Theater Pizzazz caught up with new cast members Martin Short, Katie Finneran, and Maulik Pancholy, as well as Matthew Broderick, Stockard Channing, F. Murray Abraham, and Micah Stock, to talk about why they enjoy working together, what they love about their characters, and their prior experiences with changing casts mid-stream.
Take a look at these fabulously funny folks!
