Members of the cast of the long running Tony Award honored musical The Fantasticks welcomed NBC Daytime Star and Emmy Nominated actor Peter Reckell to rehearsals before he steps into the role of the suave, charismatic El Gallo.

Theater Pizzazz’ Mark Ryan Anderson was on the scene to capture photos, video and interview Mr. Reckell before he takes the stage on September 5. The iconic modern twist on Romeo and Juliet was written by Harvey Schmidt, and directed by Tom Jones, and features hit songs “Try to Remember,” “Soon It’s Gonna Rain” and “They Were You.”

The Fantasticks plays at the Jerry Orbach Theatre at the Theater Center, 210 West 50 St. NYC.
