Here’s Love to The Music Man: A Celebration of Songwriter Meredith Willson will play its first of four dates at 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on September 1st. The show presents an evening of Meredith Willson standards, showtunes, and unexpected surprises, starring a stellar cast of Broadway stalwarts.

This intimate biographical revue takes you on a journey from Willson’s humble beginnings in Mason City, Iowa through his illustrious career on Broadway and television. The review includes his songs from The Music Man, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and Here’s Love (aka Miracle on 34th Street), along with Willson’s Billboard chart-topping hits that became standards, such as “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” and “Till There Was You.”

“Here’s Love…” is produced, conceived, directed and hosted by Tony Award® nominee and Theatre World Award winner Walter Willison (Grand Hotel, Two By Two, Pippin). Musical direction and special arrangements are by Michael Lavine. Unlike Professor Harold Hill, these fellows DO “know the territory”!

In addition to Willison, performers include Loni Ackerman, Cheryl Ann Allen, Nikita Burshteyn, Jennifer Bassey Davis, Melinda Hopkins, Marcy DeGonge, Michael Notardonato, Jill Paice, Ron Spivak, Cynthia Thomas, and Sheila Wormer.
