On  August 15, 2018 at the Pearson Lakes Arts Center in Lake Okoboji, Iowa  legendary singer Marilyn Maye was inducted into the Iowa Rock n’ Roll Music Association Hall of Fame.

Rock n’ roll music originated in the late 40’s and early 50’s, developing out of blues, jazz, gospel, and country music.  But rock’n roll was far greater than just a new style of music, it epitomized a new way of thinking and revolutionized the world.  That music is the basis of Iowa Rock’n roll Music Association.

The Iowa Rock’n Roll Music Association exists to preserve the legacy of rock’n roll music in Iowa by honoring achievements, educating youth, and inspiring artists. Established in 1999,  it is a 501(c) (3 ) non-profit statewide organization with four service areas: Hall of Fame Recognition, Rock’n Roll Museum, Community Events, and Educational Outreach.
