As the National Ambassador of KIDS’ NIGHT ON BROADWAY 2014, Idina Menzel, currently starring in the soon to open “If/Then,” is very much invested in working with young girls who don’t have an opportunity to attend theater, especially Broadway. You can hear her speak about the camp program, A Broader Way Foundation, and meet some of the kids and more in the video.
From February 24th thru March 2nd, kids ages 6 to 18 can attend a Broadway show FREE with a full-paying adult. Participating shows include: Beautiful:The Carole King Musical, The Bridges of Madison Country,Bronx Bombers, Chicago, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Matilda the Musical, Motown the Musical, Newsies, A Night with Janis Joplin, Once, Outside Mullingar, The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Rock of Ages, Cinderella, Wicked. There are also off-Broadway shows: Avenue Q, Iluminate, Murder for Two and Stomp.
Kids’ Night on Broadway is a program of The Broadway League, partnered with The New York Times, sponsored by WABC-TV, with media partners KidzVuz, Schmackary’s, along with Z100, Telemundo Nueva York and Metro-North Railroad.
