Gary Busey Stars in New Pop Rock Musical Only Human – Sneak Peek

 

 

Theater Pizzazz’ Melissa Griegel met with the cast and creatives at a sneak peek to find out more about Mike Squillante (music and lyrics) and Jess Carson‘ (book) new musical Only Human. The event took place at The Yard at Herald Square on Sept. 17.

The pop-rock musical stars Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee and BAFTA Award Winner, Gary Busey in the role of God, with Mike Squillante as Lucifer, Kim Steele as Mary Magdalene and Evan Maltby as Jesus, and directed by NJ Agwuna.

Before they were enemies, they were co-workers trying to launch a project called Earth! Jesus and Lucifer never saw eye to eye but when creative differences gets the best of you . . .all hell breaks loose . . . literally! It’s a historical musical of biblical proportions that shakes up heaven with guitar riffs and corporate attire.

The productions begins Oct. 8 at Theatre at St. Clement’s, 423 West 46 Street, NYC, opens October 21 and runs thru January 5, 2020.
