“It’s Just a Number” is a new series hosted by Bobbie Horowitz, songwriter-performer-producer. She’s opening eyes and ears to the fact that age is just a number. Look at all the people over age 50 who are filled with vitality, pizzazz and on to their 2nd, 3d and 4th careers.  To prove a point, on April 11th, the Metropolitan Room was overflowing with fans, friends and performers who don’t know the meaning of the words “getting older.”

The afternoon honored Alice Fisher, Director of Community Outreach at the office of NYS Senator Liz Krueger (in the audience and on stage). Alice is the founder of The Radical Age Movement who’s first meeting was held January 13, 2015. Attendance was way beyond predicted. The energy in the room was astounding!

To prove a point, there were cabaret performers, in all age brackets like:
Jim Brochu & Steve Schlachlin
Adam B. Shapiro
Carly Ozard
Warren Schein
Barbara Malley & Bob Diamond
Kelly Karel as Hillary
Ken Gartman & Raissa Katona Bennett

Bill Zeffiro – Musical Director/Piano

(expect a different cast each month)

In 2015, those aged 50 and older represent 45% of the U.S. population – and the number will continue to grow! Many seniors and Boomers can and want to do more than merely order Health Alerts and Bobbie and company are showing them they can!
