Most of you are too young to recall the days of vaudeville but you’ve read about it or your parents or grandparents probably had some stories to tell. That was the era when the acts consisted of a comic, a song & dance act and a stripper.
Take heart my dears because the art of the “take it off” era is alive and sizzling at Stage 72, where Gotham Burlesque welcomes “The Five Alarm Fire of Burlesque” on Saturday, August 3rd at 10 pm.
Gal Friday is the headliner and the evening is hosted by World Champion Trick Roper Chris McDaniel. The evening also features Jiggling Genius Bettina May, Side-Splitting Dance Diva Poppy Tart, Chanteuse Grace Gotham, “Hula Hooping Demon” Miss Saturn, Neo-Burlesque Star Nasty Canasta and stage manager Bambi Galore.
Presented by Gary Beeber (award-winning filmmaker, artist, producer), Gotham Burlesque will delight with song, dance, tricks and visual treats!
It’s sure to be a hot, sizzling night at Stage 72 located at 158 West 72nd Street NYC. Tickets $55 for premium seating; $39 for general seating. There is a 2 drink minimum. Tickets at www.GothamBurlesque.com
