This year Jews will celebrate the Passover gathered around computers, laptops and other devices reading an e-version of the Haggadah finding ways to connect with family and friends via FaceTime or Zoom as they tell the story of the Exodus from Egypt eating symbolic Seder foods.

The telling of this ultimate story of freedom will have special meaning – – filled with plagues and blessings. It will resonate in a way that it never has. All those disquieting feelings that were just words in a Haggadah, will come alive as we experience the realities of being prisoners . . . in our own homes, seeking courage.
