B.B. King, born Riley B. King September 16, 1925, has died at the age of 89. He was known as one of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time. A blues singer, songwriter, he won 15 Grammy Awards over a career that spanned 70 years.

Suffering from diabetes, he had been in hospice care in his Las Vegas home where he passed away on May 15th.
