Cast & Creatives

The new musical comedy Desperate Measures opened on October 1 at the York Theatre to thunderous applause with book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg and music by David Friedman.

Bill Castellino (Cagney) directs this knee-slappin’ hee haw musical with a nod to Shakespeare – with verse and couplets (ala Measure to Measure). You’ll love the sexy, funny story of how a hot tempered cowboy (Conor Ryan) gets out of jail and hanging to marry his sweetheart, the saloon gal (Lauren Molina), as his uptight sister (literally, a Nun) (Emma Degerstedt) pleads his case to the corrupt Governor (Nick Wyman) as the Sheriff (Peter Saide) concocts it all. Complications arise which will have you laughing aplenty. Rounding it all out is the tipsy Priest Father Morse (Gary Marachek).
