Closing Night at Encores “The Band Wagon”

 

 

 

The beloved backstage musical was presented at New York City Centre for nine performances from November 6 thru 16^th to sold out crowds who smiled, laughed and had the time of their lives at this version of Betty Comden and Adolph Green’s original script, expanded by Tony Award winning playwright Douglas Carter Beane.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Directed by Tony Winner Kathleen Marshall, the all-star cast included: Brian Stokes Mitchell, Laura Osnes, Tony Sheldon, Tracey Ullman, Michael McKean, Michael Berresse, Don Stephenson in this romantic and hilarious send up of great songs by Schwartz and Dietz from the film, including “By Myself,” “Triplets,” and “Louisiana Hayride.”
